Update :)

Not able to post up pics is really keeping me from updating sheesh! But anyhoo, some things I need to talk about, tkb trading (will post pics of my products) not too excited about it anymore, a LOT of the colors I got are so sheer they barely show, sucks majorly! But on to more cheery subjects I wanted to show you guys my new fave blush that I made myself and it mainly consists of the red mineral eyeshadow from simply naturals called razzmatazz, and my pink swoon mac blush (that I crushed and mixed with the tinyyyy bit of razz to make a loose blush) and I LOVE It! I use it everyday it looks so girly and like "you jus dun runnin from da po-lees!" (lool alexreed check his video out that's called 'this is a joke'--->hilarious!) but must be applied with a stippling brush otherwise can be majorly overwhelming!

What I did to my mac blushes is also made them into loose powders and put them in 10 gram jars with sifters, this way I can get more color pay off (easy with a spritz of fix+) annnd I get to back2Mac the containers hehe (I've been on the look out for new lipsticks :D!)

My new fave brush that I bought at a salon for $11 is from a brand called elegant faces (you can find them online) and looks like this:

This brush is good for all over colour and highlighting annnd doing a little contouring (if you change the way you're holding it), the perfect all in one brush! Only down side is that it is a bit big so can be annoying for people who like brushes that are even smaller than the MAC 239.

hey everybody! SO today I'm really excited (and tired) I finally recieved my TKB trading package (which I ordered on Oct.25--total wait time of 16 days to arrive) and I have to say I ammm happy! Well not about the shipping though (which costed me an arm and a leg!!! around $25 US plus $18 CD to get it through customs Canada! so a grand total of: $48 CD---just for shipping damn it!). I guess if you live in the US lucky you would not have to pay as much.

Anyhooo! I've been super duper busy with school lately I have so many midterms it's insane so I haven't done much updating but I'm making a list now of what's coming soon on my blog so keep checking it out :D!:

1.TKB Trading pics of my mineral shadows
2.My new fave blush mix (I'll tell you how I made it myself!)
3.What I did to my (gasp!) MAC blushes
4.My new multi-purpose eyeshadow brush from EF
5.Some great eyeshadow combination recommendations (for soft and bold looks)
6.Ardell lashes- a review of the 111s and the 107s (plus how to get natural looking falsies)

I'm gonna make more effort to keep up to date with my blog to do list I promise! :D xoxox

TKB--Shipping costs

When I put in my order with TKB they took (I think) approx. 11USD for shipping but emailed me later asking for another 15USD or more (for faster shipping), and this is quite disappointing, considering it is gonna be here in another few weeks and not like tomorrow... Shipping in the US would be less though I suppose...:(

Halloweeeen

I don't know yet what I wanna dress as!! But what I do know is that there a lot of great tuts on youtube that are so inspiring. Some of my fave makeup gurus who have these vids include Josh-->petrilude OMG! Can you say talent? Freakn amazing! The wonderful Julia-->MissChievous, her looks are easy to do and look fab! And Sarah aka Jjacks48 aka the amazingly entertaining and wonderfully talented girl--> her "Bella Cullen?" video-look is so sexy! Sometimes I think I wanna look really grossly scary and other times the sexy evil look comes to mind...so I dunno yet! I did find some great lashes at a Shoppers drug mart suprisingly for like $4 and I'm tempted to throw them on--I'll let you guys know what I decide!

What are you going as?

Pixxiess XD!

As promised here are the pictures of the simply naturals mineral shadows that I got as well as a picture of what the mehron pastel pallete looks like for your reference :). Please note the colors may be slightly different in real life although I tried to make the lightening work to show the true colors. If you have any questions or comments let me know! xoxo

My order with TKB Trading

My hubby had initially wanted to give me a lil gift from MAC but since the stuff I wanted I didn't really want anymore (x_X) ! He let me pick something else SO! I went a lil crayyyy-zayyy at the TKB trading website and bought 40 mineral shadows (haha-weee!) I had heard about this site from a couple of people including youtube's lovely Dana Potter and the seriously goregous miss Christiana, and I got to see first hand what the shadows looked like (since my friend ordered from them before me) and can I just say wow! If you find a color you like and you order a sample of it they give you enough mineral shadow to almost fill a ten gram jar for like $1.50 US!!! Crazy right?! Only down side is that they put 'em in baggies -_-! So what I did is order 40 ten gram jars off of their web site that come with sifters (which I KNOW I need since the Simply Naturals experience! :P) for like 24$ (which totally blows but w/e I want to get the most out these shadows and I want them to last so). Right now I'm super excited about that and when my package arrrriivvves I'll show you guys pics! yay!

Disappointed with the MAC 'Adoring Carmine' face brushes

I went to the mall yesterday and headed to MAC excited to see the holiday collection and can I just say-ewe? The brushes were a lot smaller than I thought and looked like crap! Not to mention I felt a couple and they weren't even soft :-O!!! I mean ok thank you for saving me my money but I so wanted to buy brushes in a bundle- I'm sucha sucker for good quality brushes. I obviously didn't even swatch the shadow palletes just cause the colors are lame and I know MAC shadows, not all of them have great pigmentation and the shimmer is almost always chunky! Seriously these people need to work their imaginations more! stop focusing on the packaging and come up with something worth buying tons of! But anyway now I'm rethinking the glosses too (they're not out yet) since it would probably be an impulse buy--I'm more of a lipstick girl and not so much a goo-ee-doo-ee lips chick.

oh! and yeah the store wasn't full of people but come on the service sucked! So much so that even though I wanted to buy the Silverstroke fluidliner, I just didn't...I'm gonna go back for it (I know myself I'll obsess with it till I get it!)

Do you suffer like me when this happens? Let me know!

OMG---WTF!?

Soooo I put in an order at TWO different sites on the 12th of Oct. and sat waiting for my packages to arrive right? And I'm always scared the post guys are gonna ring up my apartment and then I'm gonna be at school or something and I won't get my package (stupid MAC incident [this has happened before] got me all worry worry about these orders--grr). Thennn on the 21st I went to check my mail box and OMG!!! They bothhh came innn! I was sooo suprised and happy! (suprised that they both fit in my mailbox! haha) So guess what I ordered? 1. The Mehron Pastel pallete from Sillyfarm.com and 2. Mineral shadows from Simplynaturals.com. I love love loooove both of them! I'm gonna post pics soon I promise! (I've been having a butt load of midterms grr!)

The pallete is great but I'm not crazy about the color selection like 2 purples and 2 blues? why? change it up! (I might order the basic pallete and the tropical tho! I just love it that much!) These are water activated paints that can be used as eyeshadow base and will brighten up whatever color you're using (blue shadow-blue base etc.) I found that they make the shadow last longer too (tried it without a base underneath like UDPP and it stayed on great!). I also found that the edges blend easier than I thought (not so with the dark purple color though). Overall 5 stars!

The Simply Naturals eyeshadows are a-freakin-mazing! I love them! So bright and so great and apply wonderfully! The onlyyy thing I HATE is since the jars are filled to the top (which no one would normally complain about??) is that every time I open the jars shadow will go everywhere unless I'm very very careful and even then I still get a tiny bit on the tips of my fingers, but other than that-fantastic. (Although I should mention both the pallete and these shadows were a lot smaller in size than I thought oh and the SN shadows say they are 5 gram jars which I think I bought each for less than $2 but I think that's in weight not volume--[as in they measure the whole thing not the amount of the shadow to be 5 grams, just so ya know but that's just what I THINK! not sure]

Overall MONEY WELL SPENT XD!!!

Dior Skin Forever Foundation

I Love love love this foundation it's by far the smoothest I've ever used, it blends beautifully, matches my skin tone almost perfectly, builds up nicely and feels very soft, buttt the cost of this product (I think I bought it for like $50) is not a very reasonable one. I have to mention that since I have combo skin my t-zone gets oily and considering I wore this foundation on its own, it looked a bit dewy later and that with the t-zone made me look sweaty! (Yuck!) So I would not say it's amazing for me without powder on top. I would recommend this product to someone who wants a dewy look with buildable coverage. As for myself I'ma blot this baby!

My new way of Blushin'!

Anyone who knows my taste knows I can not do without my Pink Swoon blush (I just LOVE the color!) but getting it to show isn't always easy esp. on powder foundations (so I usually resort to using it with Fix+) but lately I've been wearing liquid foundations ( that's what winter is good for! :D) and am doing a mix of my Clinique gel blush ( 02 warm glow) topped with Pink Swoon-the results? Gorgeous!! Absolutely looove it! And the best part? It stays on ALL day!! No budge no nothing! The color combo is terrific! Here's some pics of what the gel looks like before and after you blend it out (ps. to get a sheer glow blend blend blend super quick before it dries! otherwise pat on cheeks till you get the desired look ;))

A Little Problem I call MAC!

So every time I say I'm branching out, trying different brands blah blah blah, I go back and find out there's new collections and colors from MAC :S! haha! SO naturally I have to check 'em out and have the initial interest, right now I'm obsessing over getting the 'Adoring Carmine' face brushes (which should be coming out in nov), the 'Little Darlings' (dec) and the silverstroke fluidline (which is currently availabllllle ahh!)

You can never have too many brushes (Esp. when they're so cute looking! XD!) the lippies and piggies are a great way to try out a whole lot for less and I've been looking for a silver cream eyeshadow for ages and the fluidline is as good as one! Share your reviews and obsessions!

Combo skin needs moisturizer!

So anyone with my skin type knows how it feels to have part oily part dry face--add makeup without any skin care and you get a real disaster :S! I'm always looking for a good moisturizer and feel I can not live without one, so when I spotted this one I thought sounds great! It literaly says moisturizes the dry areas and gets rid of shine in the oily areas (can that sound more perfect?) But at 12$ I was sceptical but I figured I'd give it a go;

When I first applied it it felt really greasy but suprisingly soon enough absorbed quickly and felt great! Within minutes though I felt my face tighten a bit (in my usually dry areas--cheeks) but that feeling soon went away and with my foundation on top it looked pretty good! Soon enough though the shine was back so overall this moisturizer did Not impress me much, still ok though (unless it irritates or breaks out my skin! In which case I'll be sure to tell you guys so you can avoid that!) I'd give this 2 stars and a "wouldn't go for again" :P

Wet 'n Wild?!?! I'm shocked!

So all of us think the quality of eyeshadows is in how pigmented they are, how they apply and how long they last on the lids right? I decided that foiling cheap eyeshadows is a good way of saving some bucks especially when the eyeshadows I wanted are so easily duped ( still I love browns and neutrals). So when I saw these 'Wet 'n Wild" palletes I wanted to try that idea out. When I got home I was shocked! Like shocked! Because I didn't even Need to foil! They were so pigmented! and applied well too! (ofcourse I did try them out with a base and they looked great!--the darker browns were a hassle to take off though? for some reason). Now I feel encouraged to try out more *cheap* makeup :D!!

This palette was about $7 and the ones below (cream shadows) are about $5 each Note: downside, with oily lids like mine the cream shadows will eventually crease even with UDPP applied first :( boo!

Do you have any cheap or drug store brand makeup you like? Let me know! :)

My first words...Hello!

Hi I'm the girl with the lashes (at least that's how some people know me! ;)) and I'm a true make-up fan! I love anything and everything and yes I used to be a MAC whore *blush blush* but I mean who isn't? (we're all trying to get over our addiction right?). I love trying new brands and new formulas, whether it's skin care, makeup, hair or whatever and I'ma keep yall posted on my finds and hope they'll be of some use to you! I'ma start by showing you guys my past faves :)...

-One of my alllll time best brushes! is *suprise suprise* The Body Shop blending brush: $18

When I first bought this brush I had no clue how to use it but after losing it for about a week now and realizing I can't live without it--I'm way past that stage! This brush is my problem eyeshadow fixer-upper, puts on my highlight quite well and blends edges amazingly! If someone was just starting out with brushes I would recommend this brush in a heartbeat! I give this brush 5 stars!

-One of my fave things to do is to go to bed with a rich night cream on, I know I know I'm too young for the ones I use sometimes but the effect is amazing! I mean who doesn't want to wake up to instantly glowing skin the VERY next day?

This treatment has two downsides to it : smell is wayyy to0 strong and obviously it's very rich (so may feel a bit greasy till it's absored) but other than that it's great! You wake up with a new layer of skin, soft glowy and I could swear it almost makes blemishes appear smaller! Over all 4 stars!

-Now the only perfume bottle I've ever owned to come this close to being empty is the one and only Miss Dior Cherie- I loveee this perfume! It's soft, feminine, classy, and very alluring! There is no downside to this puppy in my book its 5 stars all the way!

Have you tried these or similar products? What do you think?
